Happy Monday!
Just wanted to let you know of some clarification/edits that have come up...
Farming will after this coming event (7/21/18) will have the requirement of having a Farm for any Farmer to produce.
Thank you!
Edit 7/3/18: Please look down below for clarification. This rule has been changed.

Happy Tuesday!
Thanks for clarifying Farmer! For the other Resource Gatherers:
I assume a rancher could be a wandering goat herder (traveling with their flock) or someone with a ranch, right? I assume they need to buy or acquire the animals first?
A miner needs to scout out the proper location of a mine? Or can they dig into the rocks wherever they are in the world and potentially find resources?
A lumberjack needs to have a way to get his wood to wherever it's being used to build something, or to the market (by cart, river, slaves, a mule to drag logs behind it, etc.)?
And of course someone with Survival just needs to spend time in the wilderness to harvest herbs or hunt, I imagine.

I assume a rancher could be a wandering goat herder (traveling with their flock) or someone with a ranch, right? I assume they need to buy or acquire the animals first? Yes. Yes, one would need to buy or acquire animals first and have the other tools necessary, but do not need a ranch. Edit: Ranchers again require a ranch. Doing out research and playtesting it the last few days we have decided the Rancher works best with a physical Ranch in game. So you couldn't have a wandering goat herd by the Rancher Skill, thank you all for being patient with us through this process!
A miner needs to scout out the proper location of a mine? Or can they dig into the rocks wherever they are in the world and potentially find resources? No they don't need to scout out a proper location of a mine. Yes. they can dig into rocks wherever they are in the world and potentially find resources.
A lumberjack needs to have a way to get his wood to wherever it's being used to build something, or to the market (by cart, river, slaves, a mule to drag logs behind it, etc.)? Yes, a lumberjack would.
To clarify, this is the new updated information: Gathering Skills: Rancher and Farmer no longer need to have ranches, or farms to get production. This will not backpedal anyone's (or anyone's minion's) production thus far. But it will be in place now, including this coming logistics.
Edit: Ranchers do require a Ranch.
