Hello! I'd like to recreate Bolo (Priest), but the rule book is very mysterious about Theology powers. Is there anything you can add to give more of a glimpse of what the skill of Theology offers? Or do i just need to play the game, and RP to find out things, and make decisions slowly over time? I read the Daerzhan Religion Codicil, and it mentions "Known Miracles". The known miracles mentioned for Probaric includes raising the dead. Does that mean that priests of other religions do not have the power to raise the dead? Morcani: known miracles mention healing any malady and destroying evil creatures. Does that mean that priests of other religions have less healing power, and less power over evil creatures? Any clarity on Theology and choice of religion would be appreciated.

Religious miracles are very rare and we would like the mystery of them to continue for as long as possible. That said, Known Miracles are a very good guide to what people have heard the various factions of faith can do. And you should bet that if someone raised someone from death, they'd probably brag about it if they could.

Have you also considered an Agnostic option rather than just Atheist?

ravengode We use "Atheist" a bit looser. You are an Atheist if your character does not believe on the listened religions in the Religions Section. So if you are not part of the Morcani, Pobaric, Eaptharin, Thesaf, Kapachi, or Anista religion, you would be seen as an atheist in this world. Even if Agnostic or believe in a god that is not part of the above options, you'd still be considered one. I can see how that isn't included in the Religions section. We will try to be more clear in the future! Update 4/5/18 at 9:03 to add: But also, it would be a little difficult to be Agnostic in this world. Seeing the god's power smite someone or rise someone from the Death and still not know if there is something up there might be a bit difficult for a lot of people. Not that you couldn't be, just a bit more rare in a world that you can see the different god's powers.

I suppose I've always used the second part of the definition of Agnostic: " a person who claims neither faith nor disbelief in God." And by your example, it would also be difficult to be Atheist, "a person who disbelieves or lacks belief in the existence of God or gods." I'm not trying to be difficult, just trying to get an understanding of where you're going with it.
So can I believe in the existence of the Gods, but do not worship them, and if so what social impact does that have?

And we assumed Atheist would be a good enough catchall for characters who didn't want to worship. But we're sold. Agnostic is now officially a world belief of Crusade 4. Yes, your character can do that.
