Subterfuge Skill clarfication

Perhaps a silly question, but does the "Slice" attack acquired at level 4 require the use of an edged weapon?  I only ask because the level 6 "Piercing" attack does specify that the weapon must be pointed.  And I could imagine a scenario where a blunt weapon would cause internal bleeding.
